Medical Emergencies

Medical emergencies can encompass a wide range of clinical conditions. This day course will look at a variety of different presentations and how we manage them, including common poisonings, cardiac patients, and endocrine emergencies. The course will include a refresher of some aspects of physiology, including the cardiovascular system and ECGs (including commonly encountered arrhythmias) along with the pathophysiology of emergency endocrine patients, including the Addisonian crisis patient.
