Provision of an appropriate nutritional recommendation is central to providing excellent veterinary care and is an area where veterinary nurses can use their skills to the fullest. When patients are suffering from a specific disease or condition, provision of optimal nutrition can significantly impact successful management of these cases.

This interactive full day session, with quizzes and activities, will broadly cover a number of topics areas.

Part 1 will look at the core nutrition skills that are required to ensure all specific disease related nutritional requirements are understood, alongside the preferences of the pet and pet owner

Part two, will consider patients who have specific diseases and the nutrient adaptions and other management elements that will be required to help manage their condition.
