Clinical Nutrition
Provision of an appropriate nutritional recommendation is central to providing
excellent veterinary care and is an area where veterinary nurses can use their skills to the
fullest. When patients are suffering from a specific disease or condition, provision of optimal
nutrition can significantly impact successful management of these cases.
Part 1 will consider patients who have specific diseases and the nutrient adaptions
and other management elements that will be required to help manage their condition.
Part 2 will consider patients who are unlikely or unable to consume food whilst in
